Meet your guide near the entrance of Riga Cinema “Splendid Palace” - one of the most magnificent and long-standing European cinemas that has been bringing joy to film lovers with excellent film art since 1923.
Start your tour with a stroll along the peaceful Terbatas street, where various bakeries, cafes, restaurants and local shops can be found. Visit a cosy confectionery to taste wonderful Latvian cakes. Grab the chance to find out more about one of the most popular bakeries in Latvia while tasting hump-seed butter served on a traditional Latvian rye bread.
The tour will continue towards one of the creative neighbourhoods of Riga. The area gathers various local business, including small shops, wineries and pubs. Here the famous chocolate factory “Laima” is located. Its shop is one of our stops on this tour. For locals this area is even more special because of several breweries that have chosen this neighbourhood as their home. During this tour you’ll have a chance to visit two of them. Let’s grab some nice craft beer and chat about food and travel experiences.
The tour ends at a family run restaurant owned by your tour guide. The family will take care of your tonight’s dinner by preparing a seasonal Latvian dish. A shot of Riga Black Balsam will be served as a dinner starter.
